Fabrication Chapter 46 (Ruby Rose x Male Reader)
A/N: Hello! So while I've been busy writing this chapter, I've also been working on rewriting Fabrication. I believe I've improved as a writer as compared to back several years ago when I first started this series. As a result, I thought a reformatting of the story with more consistent theming and whatnot would be a great project for myself. I've posted the first chapter on Archive of Our Own. Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/46999642/chapters/118400851 Check it out if you'd like and I hope you enjoy the latest chapter of Fabrication! Sparks flew every which way as you engaged Glade in combat. His chains flew towards you as you swiftly deflected his long range attacks. The destructive weapons smashed into nearby dumpsters, lampposts, and walls, ripping straight through anything. You knew exactly how painful they could be per your last encounter with Salem’s mysterious follower. You had been waiting to use your weapon’s greatsword form but never found the right

You stepped through the doors of Ironwood’s office, following the rest of the teams. It was dark, illuminated only by the decorative blue lights on the floor and walls. The General’s chair was turned to look out the large window behind him, displaying the dark night sky dotted with Atlesian ships. “General Ironwood” Harriet stated, trying to get his attention. Slowly, he turned around in his chair, revealing his left arm bandaged up and a sling wrapped around his shoulder. “We have made a critical error” he said softly as he set a chess piece on his desk. “The Black Queen was the symbol Salem showed us before we lost everything. Her way of telling us she was inside. That it was too late…. We stopped Watts. We stopped Callows, but someone was here. They put this in my office to tell me that-what if Mantle was just a distraction? What if it was just to draw us away from the academy to, to-” “Sir” Weiss interjected. “It’s going to be okay. A/N: Chapters be slow, but I'm still trying to get them out. On another note, anyone seen Volume 9 yet? Thoughts? Pompous. Condescending. Ridiculous. Utterly asinine. Those were just a few words to describe the atmosphere and feelings you had towards Jacques Schnee’s party at the family manor. You found yourself standing outside the massive ornate doors with the rest of the Atlas team. The manor itself was breathtaking and beautiful. You found it a shame that it was juxtaposed by the horrid man Jacques Schnee revealed himself to be. Sighing, you joined the rest of the group as you all walked up the front door, Ironwood ringing the doorbell. The chime rang throughout the halls of the estate as the doors promptly creaked open revealing a younger boy with white hair. “Good evening, everyone,” Whitley Schnee greeted formally. “Where’s Klein?” Weiss asked, concerned. “What an interesting way to say, ‘Hello, dear brother, how have you been?’” Whitley responded curtly

“The match will continue until either of the party’s aura drops below 5% or forfeits the match” Ren announced, his voice echoing through the massive training room. You all stood in the middle of the room, team RWBY together on one side, with you on the other. The building blocks of the training room forming various structures and cover behind either of you. Gazing over to the side of the arena, you saw Oscar, Nora, and Jaune sitting on improvised block chairs, watching intently. “There are no restrictions from fighting aside from attacking an opponent who is below 5% aura.” Ren continued. “All weapons, upgrades, tools, and semblances are allowed. Once all parties are ready, we will begin.” “Ready for a butt kicking, (Y/N)?” Yang asked, slamming her fists together as everyone got into a fighting stance. “Last I remember, I beat you guys” you joked, hand resting on your blade. “Only cause you caught us off guard!” Ruby defended. “We know your semblance

A/N: Hey everyone, the chapter is a bit late this month cause I moved. That was a whole headache in and of itself, but thank you for the comments and favorites! I hope you enjoy the newest chapter! You waded through the crowd of party-goers as the bright lights and deafening music seemed to shake the very foundation of the building itself. Making note of the men in clean black suits, posted at key points in the club, you made your way towards a metal door in the back. Parties and clubs were never your forte, but it seemed like plenty of people were enjoying themselves. “And what’s your name, handsome?” you heard a voice ask. You turned around to see a waitress, eyeing you up and down. “(Y/N)” you introduced, holding out your hand. “Nice to meet ya (Y/N)” she smiled, shaking your hand. “I’m Iris. So, you doin’ anything later?” “Oh, actually I’ve got a girlfriend, thank you though” you replied. “Well, she’s a very lucky girl,” Iris nodded before turning away. “Seeya

The Manta broke through the clouds at a breakneck pace, rapidly approaching the drop site. You sat in the back, in slight darkness waiting for the sign. You tapped your foot impatiently, anxious for some action. Since you had gotten out of the infirmary, you were ready to hit the ground running. This was further supported by the fact that you had all new gear and a brand new weapon you were dying to try out. You had decided to drop your old black duster in favor of a sleek white vest, its long coattails trailing behind you. Along the right side of your body ran a black shoulder cape, stopping just below your waist. Matching black pants and boots were another addition to your outfit, the former of which was adorned with various straps and pockets for storage. Lastly, and most importantly, attached to your hip was a long silver sheath, ready for combat. Team RWBY, JNR, and the Ace Ops had taken all separate airships and, generously enough, you were supplied with your own. A buzzer

You leaned back against the cold metal of the prisoner transport, trying to find a slightly more comfortable position that didn’t make your entire being hurt. But the turbulence of the transport as it flew through the air proved this goal to be particularly difficult. Everyone sat in silence except for Nora who vigorously attempted to bite through her restraints. “Where do you think they’re taking us?” Ruby asked, breaking the silence. “A hospital I hope” you groaned. “Doubtful,” Qrow replied. “I’m gonna go with jail.” “How are you hanging in there (Y/N)?” Jaune inquired, turning to you. “Not super great” you answered, wincing as the ship hit a particularly strong patch of turbulence. “You?” “I think my pride’s hurt more than anything” he sighed. “I still can’t believe that fishing pole guy took us out like it was nothing!” “Welcome to Atlas” Weiss deadpanned. “Those were Ironwood’s Ace Operatives.” This caught the attention of

A/N: First volume of Chapter 7, I hope you all enjoy! Thank you for reading! Fear. Paralyzing fear ran through your body as you stared up into her dark red eyes. You were at a complete loss for words, your mind racing. There she was, right in front of you. The girl in the tower. The queen of Grimm. Your former master. Salem. A look of contentment on her deathly white face as she stared back down at you. “Hello (Y/N)” she spoke, a voice that commanded respect. You couldn’t find the words to speak. Your mouth dry, you were only able to muster a small gasp in response. You felt utterly helpless, waiting for the inevitable torture and death that awaited you. Salem reached her hands toward you as you instantly recoiled, shutting your eyes tight as you braced for the excruciating pain you had been familiar with in the past. Instead, you felt her hand brush through your hair. It was gentle, almost merciful. Given any other situation with any other person, you would have

You fell to the ground, flat on your back, dropping your red blade. It harmlessly clattered to the side, out of reach. “You’re off balance” Cinder lectured, twirling her glass sword in her hand. “Learn how to move with your sword, not against it, or you’ll be dead within seconds.” “Yes Cinder” you nodded, picking yourself up. “Again” she commanded. You walked over and picked up your sword, getting into a fighting position. You ran forward slashing your sword at her, but she easily blocked the attack. You followed up with a thrust that she moved to the side to avoid. Cinder swung her sword downwards as you brought yours up to block. Your two weapons let out a loud clang as they connected. You were surprised as you felt her hand grab your throat, lifting you in the air. You struggled, flailing in the air as she readied her sword, thrusting it at your chest. Immediately, you activated your semblance, making the gravity around yourself heavier and forcing her to drop

(A/N): Hi.
It was Sunday morning, the beginning of the day and the week and as the fractured moon that burned brightly above began to wane, the sun began to take its place, shining over the gloomy horizon as it directed its light over Beacon Academy.
You were the first to stir from a deep slumber and a good dream, groaning at the sight of the sunlight glaring through the room curtains, basking the entire room and you in a vibrant golden orange. With a lingering haziness and a need to sleep again, you were curious of the time. You turned to your side for your Scroll, only to find nothing since it was normally at your bedside charging.
You w
